A Core i3 vs i5 vs i7
When choosing which of our Rental Laptops or Rental Computers is right for you, you have the choice of the following processors: Core i3, Core i5 and a Core i7
But how do you know which option to choose? Firstly, let’s start by explaining what a processor is.
What is a processor?
When it comes to our rental laptops and PCs, we offer a range of processors. In a nutshell, the processor is the electronic circuit that sits within a computer that carries out the instructions that you give to it. It can also be known as a CPU or ‘central processing unit’.
The more powerful the processor or CPU, the better it can cope with more demanding and multiple tasks. The right choice for you will depend on what you plan on using the rental laptop or rental computer for.
The Core i3 Range
The Core i3 processor is the entry level processor that we offer with our rental laptops and computers.
An i3 is great for general business use, writing a letter, sending an email, browsing online and working in excel for example. This is our most popular rental.
The Core i5 Range
The Core i5 range is the more ‘main-stream’ option.
An i5 is more suitable for a ‘power’ user, so someone using a database and managing accounts as well as the above.
The Core i7 Range
The Core i7 processor is typically requested by businesses/individuals who are used to working with an i7. These users would tend to know they have a need for this processor. If you don’t know you have this need, chances are an i3 or i5 would be suitable for the work you want to do on the rental laptop or computer. An i7 would be required if you were going to do computer aided design or CAD work, desktop publishing, advanced video editing or photo editing for example.

Our contracts are flexible and can be extended or cut short at any time during the rental. What’s more, if you require the rental for longer than a 3 month period, you will also benefit from unlimited free remote support from our helpdesk engineers.
